Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Workers’ Strike: Thirty Workers Locked Out

On Thursday, June 22nd, a further escalation in the Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane workers’ strike took place: the company’s security guards prevented thirty workers from entering the factory. The workers locked out by the bosses have between 18 and 22 years’ experience of working at the plant.

Active Boycott of the Iranian regime’s phoney ‘elections’

Tomorrow, May 19th 2017, the Iranian regime will yet again hold phoney ‘elections’ to disguise the basic fact that it is one of the most repressive capitalist dictatorships in the twenty-first century. Along with the ‘presidential elections’ there will also be ‘local elections’ in Iran’s cities and villages.
